Mix 106.5 is one of the sponsors of Music In The Other Park. June 19th was Augustana with Ben Lee.
Love, love, love him! All of the performances I've seen through work have been great but he is someone I actually wanted to see and was a fan of before I saw him play. He is a wonderful story teller. Had to get some pictures developed. I love my telephoto lens.
i've been trying to organize an endless amount of photos and negatives and photos on discs and in my hard drives and on my computer, from high school to present day. i found a few black and whites from a class i took at the Salt Lake Art Center in the winter on 2005. black and white pictures of snow are not easy. i feel bad because i honestly cannot remember anyones name from that class. one class we played with lights. i love developing my own film and messing around in the dark room. "hey baby, lets go in the dark room and see what develops". but it was a challenge to get out and do assignments in the freezing cold snow.
another work mixer today at lunch. Anna Nalick came by. She was sick/lost her voice so she only sang one song but was interviewed by Bill and Marla. The interview was a lot of fun. She has a cute personality, and she writes her own stuff!!! Some pretty deep lyrics for someone so young.
the 27th in a nutshell-
A's game wif me big bruvva (A's won!). Best seats in the world thanks to Zach at NetSuite. ate and ate and ate and ate so much food.
it says "NetSuite welcomes Jennifer & Geoff Ellis Happy Birthday Jennifer"
Too cool! I love it.
it was also Big Hurt's b-day yesterday. Frank Thomas turned 40. (Geoff took this one)
Today we had an after work "Mixer" with performances from HoneyHoney and Ferras.
i really liked Honeyhoney. way more up my alley than most stuff on the radio. in fact, i wasted no time in rushing to the itunes music store and purchasing their EP. these guys were so cool. Ben and Suzanne. so much fun!
I met Ferras a few months ago when he played at the station. Funny and sweet.
Apparently it's still on and in it's 7th season. I haven't watched the show since the season with Fantasia.
I'm sure if I had TV I might watch it but since I don't, I don't and haven't for quite some time.
I'm not the TV fiend that I used to be.
Ace Young from season 5 was at work today. I have to admit that I'm a huge fan of down to earth entertainers. This guy is so nice. (the guy on the right is his guitarist)
just imagine these photos crisper, cleaner and zoomed in. one day i'll have my very own SLR but until then I'll have to settle for fuzzy photos.
Here are a few photos from Rilo Kiley last night at my new favorite venue, The Rio in Santa Cruz, CA.
Saw Tegan &Sara the night before and next week Colin Meloy is playing and tickets are ONLY $18. How can I not go?
Thursday April 10th I had the opportunity to see two performances.
Lunchtime entertainment was international pop star Delta Goodrem. Read her inspiring story.
Also stopped in Nicasio & Fairfax. I took a few rolls of film that I have not developed yet, but here is a peek at a few from lil point and shoot digital.
I have to admit that I really never "listened" to Jason Mraz. I had heard a few of his songs and thought they were alright.
I had the opportunity to see him at a radio station lunch event. He is the nicest guy EVER! so charming, laid back, and absolutely adorable. i love it when celebrities are cool. makes me want to go buy all his albums.
